Budgeting Spreadsheet

Budgeting Spreadsheet: Students enter amounts into a self calculating spreadsheet to work out a persons budget for the month.
This resource is best used around the topic of budgeting and bank accounts. I used it alongside the excellent Barclays Money Skills site.
Students enter the items from the A student’s Spending for the Month into the Budgeting Spread sheet. This automatically calculates the totals and allows the student to think about the budget without the barrier some find in doing the maths. Students are able to have a discussion around changing the budget, essential and non-essential spending and to see the effects of altering the amounts spent.
