MESH resources (Migrant English Support Hub)
We at MESH (Migrant English Support Hub) run the LEYH (Learning English in Yorkshire and the Humber) website, as well as its sister site Learning English Plus, which includes a staffroom and resources section. We have started producing our own resources which are locally referenced to Yorkshire and the Humber, but which are useful nationwide too.
The aim of these resource packs is to inspire experienced teachers, newly qualified teachers and volunteers when teaching ESOL with a range of locally referenced teaching and learning activities to use in the classroom. These packs have a selection of ideas to suit various ESOL levels. Although the resources are based on locally (Yorkshire and the Humber) referenced websites and information, they can be adapted to suit your area and learners. The overview for each pack provides learning outcomes and teachers notes, with explanations of how to use the resources.
Editor's notes
There are some really useful and inspiring resources here. Titles / themes that popped out at me include: Warm Spaces, Food Banks, How the NHS Works, Yorkshire Dialect and Going to the Theatre.
