This is a set of part-blanked times tables grids for students to complete and use as a resource. Used with Entry level students. Includes 10×10 and 12×20 grids, with full and gap versions.

My L1 learners were really struggling to remember what to do to convert units of measurement and were getting very confused at the initial stage, so I made this resource and laminated it so that it was available for them to look at if they couldn’t remember. Could also be made into a poster.
A resource I created to support my students getting used to what they needed to divide or multiply by to convert between units. Can easily be laminated for repeated use, or increased in size and turned in to a poster.

Pictogram activities with clear overview and examples, followed by three tasks including food and car parks. Makes a great introduction to Entry 3 data handling.
Illustrated handouts on metric measures with conversion factors and everyday examples of weight, capacity and length. Margaret suggests that it makes a good warm up for Dave Walkden’s Christmas Pudding Activity (see below).
