Halloween E2 Reading tasks

Originally written as a mock E2 ESOL reading paper with a Halloween theme. Now amended with extra tasks to reflect the reformed Entry Level 2 Functional English content. Covers alphabetical order / dictionary work, general comprehension, purpose of text (E3) and some writing elements (see below).

A job you have done in the past (Discussion)

Topics to discuss based on Ascentis ESOL Entry 2 Speaking and Listening exam. Learners work in groups of 3. Each is given a slightly different topic to prepare and discuss, all based around a theme. In this case jobs. They are all expected to demonstrate use of present simple, present continuous, past simple and future tenses, as appropriate.

Two one-page tasks covering: punctuation (full stops and capital letters) and writing with simple verb tenses. Use as evidence that a given learning outcome has been achieved. Also useful for diagnostic assessment.
