ESOL > Speaking > Engage in discussion > Sd/E3.2a Ask about people's feelings and opinions
(i) Form a range of different question types, including alternative questions and tag questions Example: What about you? What do you think? What's your opinion? You believe in freedom of speech, don't you? Do you think it's a good idea to...? Do you agree with the others or do you have a different point of view?
(ii) Use appropriate collocation, e.g. ‘give your opinion on...
(iii) Use appropriate intonation patterns in a range of question types Example: John? (spoken with rising intonation) Are you happy with that, or do you want to add something? (intonation rising on the first part of the question and falling on the second)
