SD/E2.1b Take part in more formal interaction
- Know the likely structure of formal interactions learners will take part in, and prepare and rehearse the language they will need to use. E.g. (a) Introducing yourself (b) Give personal information. E.g. My name's... and I'm looking for... (c) State problems or wishes: We've got a problem with the photocopier. The problem is... I can't work Saturdays, because I have children. (d) Apologise: I'm sorry I didn't phone. I’m sorry I’m late. I missed the bus
- Use intonation appropriate for formal interaction
- Use body language and eye contact as appropriate to the situation
