Lr/E2.6a Listen to and identify simply expressed feelings and opinions
- Identify common lexical phrases used in expressing different feelings and emotions. E.g. How do you like your new job? Oh, I love it. I look forward to going in to work every morning. That's great. I wish I felt the same about my job.
- Identify common lexical phrases used in expressing different opinions. E.g. What are your favourite programmes? Hmm, I like soaps, Emmerdale, Coronation Street. My favourite is EastEnders.
- Recognise how intonation and pitch carry meaning
- Identify feelings that are expressed overtly, through words and intonation, and also feelings expressed mainly through intonation
- Demonstrate increasing ability to recognise metaphor and exaggeration Example She flew into the room.
