A rather nifty Word document template where learners can move the digits to the right or left to see the changes in place value when multiplying or dividing decimals by 10, 100 and 1000.
A hands-on activity that covers measuring, multiplying and 3D shapes (and a quick game of Jenga!).
Plus suggested L1 extension activities that cover perimeter, area, volume, metric measures and tessellation.
A scheme of work and progress sheet accompanied by many resources including: tallies, counting to 100, odd and even numbers, number bonds, adding on ten, ideas for card games and links to web based games.

A fabulous 19 page booklet providing comprehensive coverage of measuring length at Entry 2 (and above). Cleverly links in with all the Entry 2 data handling elements by asking learners to record data in tables and bar charts. Includes using non-standard units, estimating and measuring height, using bar charts and tables and interpreting the results, measuring lines, investigations, frog jumping and paper aeroplane races; plus student progress tracker.
A great warm-up activity. Students work in pairs to find information in holiday brochures. Easily adapted for your own brochures. Covers scanning, organisational features, detailed reading, etc. at E3-L2.

A challenging kinaesthetic paired activity that is bound to promote discussion about possessive and omissive apostrophes (and the greengrocer’s apostrophe!).
A fabulous activity which takes learners through grouping, division by subtraction, and remainders – in a structured, logical fashion so that their pile of Smarties will gradually get eaten!
A useful, very effective template for making place value sliders. The laminated Slider allows the learner to see the digits moving left or right when they multiply or divide by powers of 10 and discourages the use of ‘adding zeros’ or ‘moving the decimal point’ which are not now used in schools. Covers whole numbers up to 7 digits and decimals to 2 decimal places.
