I've been teaching a mixed L1/L2 class this term and Steph Gilford's resources have been an absolute goldmine. I've used them to mix and match too - e.g. using her language feature "bingo" resource for learners to fill in the "glossary" sheets. I highly recommend them to others. She's done a great job of making things accessible and engaging as well as clear.

This site is incredible.  I used the UK Elections 2019 piece this week.  I planned to just use it with my Functional Skills kids but, in the end, I adapted most of my lessons to fit it in.  Great for discussions and, for each class, we had a vote at the end (results to be revealed on Dec 12th of course).

Thank you for these very useful worksheets.  It is so hard to find very easy texts for beginners.  

I am teaching adults who are quite shy and need a lot of practice to gain confidence in using everyday English.  The E1/E2 worksheets on your site are perfect!

It is very generous of the writers to post them for free download.  I know how long it takes to create them.

I have been blown away by skillsworkshop but too shy to send anything for years. As a literacy tutor I have shown many new FE tutors your site and my niece, daughter-in-law and my daughter have all been involved with skillsworkshop at various times.

I would love to be able to have the confidence to be a contributor. In the meantime, I would like to say how wonderful it has been enabling us to have a great platform to be able to share resources through all the changes of the past 17 years.

I love your resources and am about to start teaching Functional Skills English L1 & L2 in a classroom as opposed to to individual learners who are on apprenticeships.

I am a very inexperienced ESOL teacher in my first year of teaching Skills for Life ESOL to adults at Pre Entry and Entry 1 level. My teaching brief includes designing my lessons around the curriculum, which was really daunting.

I am writing to say how much I rely on skillsworkshop and how useful I find your worksheets and ppts.

It really is a huge thank you as I can’t afford subscriptions to sites such as onestopenglish and I rely very heavily on finding an activity to support the curriculum on skillsworkshop.
