What makes a good news story? L1 Speaking, listening & communication assessment

This is a speaking and listening activity written in the style of the NCFE reformed Functional Skills assessment.  It is based on the 'Happy News: It's not all bad' reading resource previously published on skillsworkshop. Three task are covered: presentation (talk), Q&A session and a formal discussion. 

Editor's notes

Although written for NCFE Reformed Functional English SL&C assessment at Level 1, the tasks can easily be adapted for any Awarding Organisation (see teaching notes within the resource). The It's not all bad resource by Laura Bell can be found under See Also.
