The Art of Persuasion

This is a large multi-page resource (12 pages, plus a shorter document with 2 sets of matching cards and a self-assessment checklist). Aimed at L1-L2 Functional English but also useful for GCSE. 

The main document includes:

• Introduction and discussion prompts.
• Group activity / paired warm up activity.
• 2 persuasive texts (Protecting Bees in Britain and Reducing Plastic Waste) with reading questions and persuasive writing tasks.
• Revision handout - covering all major language features with examples and their effect on the reader/audience  

This resource can be used over a number of sessions, or provided as self-study, homework, group and/or individual work.
