Our Street

A poem on the theme of neighbourhoods.  Can be used as a reading and pronunciation exercise or may be extended to include a discussion around housing, traffic, local communities or recycling.

After struggling to find poems at an appropriate level, Jean wrote this (and several others that are equally good/useful!) for a shared reading group where poems are read aloud and used to prompt discussion of common ESOL topics such as shopping, nature, holidays and jobs.
