Lithium Batteries - Hidden Dangers

This resource is aimed at Entry Level ESOL and/ Functional English. It discusses the widespread use of lithium batteries, the dangers they pose and how to dispose of them safely.

Page 1 of the E1- 2 contains suggested first stage preparation for the session/s (which is also also suitable for E3) followed by a series of differentiated reading texts (with questions) and a writing task. The E3 resource has a more complex text and writing task - along with a set of questions on the separate poster/advice leaflet which can also be used on its own to prompt discussion and awareness. 

The resource can cover one or more session. It aims to provoke safety awareness around these everyday yet dangerous batteries without raising alarm.
