Editor's note

A combination of texts and videos are used to question, and encourage listening and research skills. For reading, a series of short texts - along with many statistical diagrams and other images - are used to consolidate various comprehension skills including fact & opinion, inference, using organisational features and understanding key vocabulary. The two pages about the history of men's and women's pockets is particularly interesting! For writing, there are prompts for a formal persuasive letter of complaint. Underpinning skills such as punctuation are also covered.
