Set of maths problems originally written for a group of trainee mechanics. Problems are based on a set of data sheets with prices/sizes for a selection of spark plugs, filters, oil, brake pads and wiper blades. Topics iclude working with money, best buy/price (proportion), comparing numbers/prices, average, range, and extracting information from tables.
Ideal for, and fully mapped to, E3-L1 Functional Maths – with teaching tips.

Hi Gaye
Used this great resource for the first time yesterday with a group of Motor Engineering students. Unfortunately it seems the price list for Brake Pads and windscreen wipers isnt here. One student looked the price up on google so that he could do the work! Hopefully you might still have the missing pages.
Was good to use as a review assessment.
