Business bank balance game is a great adaptation of Jane March’s popular Bank Balance game (see below).
This version is designed specially for Level 2 learners who need practice working with large negative numbers.

Business bank balance game
In the past I have used the ‘Pay Day’ and ‘Bank Balance’ games with my level 1 students. I always meant to adapt one of them for level 2 but did not get round to it, then I found yours.
It was perfect for the needs of my learners and we had a lot of fun.
I adapted it slightly by not using the balance sheet provided, but making the learners create their own account sheets in columns. This proved a challenge for them and gave the message that, in maths, you need to keep columns in order.
Excellent as a functional maths activity.
