A Seaside Holiday

A poem on the theme of holidays.  Can be used as a reading and punctuation exercise or may be extended to include a discussion around traditional British holidays, ways to spend leisure time or enjoying new experiences by using different senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch).

After struggling to find poems at an appropriate level, Jean wrote this (and several others that are equally good/useful!) for a shared reading group where poems are read aloud and used to prompt discussion of common ESOL topics such as shopping, holidays and jobs.
