Multiplication matching facts is much more than just matching ‘tables’. Use as an ice breaker, for group or individual work, to show progression or to collect data for future statistics work. Complete with differentiation ideas for E3 and L1.

A great way to practise ratio and proportion. Choose your favourite horse and how much to bet ( we suggest Haribo or buttons!). If it wins the race you must work out how much the bookie owes you. With sample lesson plan.

A quick and easy-to-prepare game for Level 1 learners (can adapt for E3) that reinforces this important concept.

Paired game. Work your way across the hexagonal sections of the game board. Great way to reinforce tables and division facts but also fits in well with L1/2 fraction work when learners find it difficult to simplify fractions.
