Can also be used as a traditional paper based worksheet, aimed at E1-E3 Functional Maths learners – questions cover graphs & charts, number, shapes and position.

A game of bingo to practise classroom objects and numbers 1-16. There are 8 different bingo cards and a teacher’s board.
This could be used at the start of term for Pre-entry or Entry 1 learners.

This is a set of three (maybe more) lessons which looks at the costs of a night out to London. It starts with students having to look at a train ticket and get the asked information from it – cost/type of ticket/time. It uses addition as students need to find out the cost of two tickets. They then use google to search times of trains. The next session looks at the cost of the theatre ticket and finding out the change you would have from a given amount again researching the theatre on the internet.

Little starter activity for E2 learners to use odds and evens in a common real life scenario. Could be cut and stick or learners just write in numbers, for a quicker activity.

A collection of worksheets asking students to cut out and put the items in order using a given criterion. More able students can measure the items.

A counting game along similar lines to Snakes and Ladders. Learners will learn turn-taking, following instruction & basic counting skills. In addition, they will pick up social and communication skills along the way.

A worksheet where learners research and record findings using Google maps. The idea is to get them familiar with reference points for distances. Gives learners an idea how far places are from them in real terms, and teaches them to estimate with measurements.
Also provides good practice with the Google maps app on phones, Mac or PC.
