1. Who wants to be an A student? Level 1 Literacy ‘Millionaire’ game, complete with music and (US) sound effects: 15 real Level 1 Literacy questions covering spelling, grammar, locating information, vocabulary and punctuation.

2. Who wants to be an A student? Level 2 Literacy ‘Millionaire’ game – as above but with more challenging questions.

Introduction, examples of everyday formulae and two pages of problems with answer sheet. Also provides useful practice in calculating percentages and working with large numbers.

Paired game. Work your way across the hexagonal sections of the game board. Great way to reinforce tables and division facts but also fits in well with L1/2 fraction work when learners find it difficult to simplify fractions. Three sets of game boards and cards for E3, L1, L2 plus blanks to make your own game.

Match addition and subtraction problems to the correct answers and practise mathematical vocabulary. Then play the Money Ladder game to practise coin recognition, and adding and subtracting to 10/20. 2 versions available (for E2 & E3). Complete with spinners and ladder sheets.

Mixed entry level number exercises. 4 very useful work sheets: counting forwards and backwards in two & tens (2 sheets), number bonds to ten, and mixed everyday addition and subtraction problems (inc. money problems).

This set of 3 medium term plans follow on from an earlier E1 2-term scheme of work (see below) and can save you a lot of time and energy!

Note: for those in FE not used to school terminology. A medium term plan is more detailed than a scheme of work but not as detailed as a lesson plan.
