Chomwell Green

A popular series of literacy resources dating back to 2002. The original descriptive writing activity was based on a picture of a house in fictional 'Chomwell Green'. Other, related resources cover reading / writing persuasive texts such as holiday cottage advertisements, using positive and negative adjectives, prefixes, state agent's ads, and distinguishing between facts and opinions.

A super very practical reading task to be used in conjunction with a property advertising newspaper. The resource here is specific to Glasgow, but can be easily adapted for other areas.
Learners follow the guidance given to find a home suitable for their friend.
Ideal for, and fully mapped to, Functional Skills English E3 and L1.
