A set of Entry 1 and Entry 2 English tasks that focus on two short texts about the alphabetical list of winter storm names released by the Met Office. The first Functional English resource I have written based on the revised Functional Skills English content (2018) which will be used by awarding organisations from September 2019 [1]. 

I have developed this to help me explain the process of answering open questions in Functional Maths to my L1 / L2 ESOL Foundation students (Entry 3 ESOL). However, it is suitable for any group of E3-L2 Functional Maths students.

I’m hoping it’s better than trying to read through a lot of text in a book.

Plus a super 1 page collection of quick DTP tips / shortcuts for Windows XP. Originally used for training teachers on an NUT ICT training class but suitable for any L2 ICT / CLAIT students.
