Subject content [reformed] functional skills: Mathematics (DfE, Feb 2018):

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/functional-skills-subject-content-mathematics

Themed around two different Burns Night dinner menus, the main focus is money and problem solving.

In addition, the E3-L1 section covers percentages and rounding, and the E1-E3 section includes questions on time, sorting and classifying, and extracting data.

Includes extra alcohol-free menus (no whisky or tipsy laird!), curriculum mapping and suggested marks.

A hastily put together resource for Valentine's Day 2022 (but can be used in any year!).  Although the covered subject content statements are all E1 or E2 - the problem solving element of some questions also makes this also suitable for E3, especially the final "Stretch" investigation. Questions are mapped but there is no answer sheet.

Editor's note Jan 24 2022 19:50 - correction made to the final 2-way table question.

Pat and Mitch decide to build a mini wildlife pond from an old sink. This involves digging, gathering and arranging suitable items, a trip to the aquatic centre to buy water plants, and then sitting back and observing the fruit of their labours :)
