Two Excel spreadsheets to track students performance in Functional Skills Maths and Functional Skills English from Entry Level 1 up until Level 2. Can be used by teachers and I also send electronically or print them off and give students to complete themselves.
The Core Curriculum and Functions Skills Progression Overview side-by-side. Editor’s note
The print quality of this resource may be low as it is a cut, pasted and scanned (very useful) document. It is not available, even to contributors, as a Word document. Richard has also posted a link to an interactive version of this document.
My Entry Level SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) Marking Sheet is a simple tick sheet that can be used by students to check each other’s work for spelling and grammar errors. Helpful for encouraging groups of learners to ‘peer assess’ and also reinforces what to look for when proofreading work.
The sheet is a simplified version of the spelling and grammar skills covered in the Entry Functional Skills English Standards. It includes space for comments and also indicates which skills relate to each of the Entry levels via straightforward indices.
Tracking sheets for OCR Entry Literacy – keep track of what your students have completed. Useful even if you are not using OCR as they inlciude al the E1-E3 Curriculum elements. Three sets in one document: E1 (2 pages), E2 Lit (3 pages), E3 Lit (4 pages).
Excel long term plans for Entry 1, Entry 2 and Entry 3 literacy. Each covers covers 12 terms for students working towards OCR Entry Level 1, 2 or 3 certificates in adult literacy (including spoken communication) and is mapped to the Skills for Life Literacy learner materials. These are available free from the Excellence Gateway http://rwp.excellencegateway.org.uk/readwriteplus/Learning_Materials_Li…
See below for links to other related medium term plans.
Extremely useful spreadsheet covering the entire adult literacy curriculum (E1 to level 2): one page/sheet for each of the 9 areas (speak to communicate, reading – sentence level, writing – word level, etc.)
