A reading and spelling add-on quiz for our popular Barry New Sports Centre E2 Functional English mock assessment (Sharon Kitching, Nov 2021) . Select the correct answer(s) for each question. Covers purpose, form, organisational features - plus 5 questions on regular and irregular plurals. Can be used independently of the original resource.

Simulation of completing an online CV. Very easy to use, fill in the boxes and print after completion.

Simulations of email and online banking registration forms. Can be used in succession, as for the banking registration form you need an email address. When you press the “create account” button it will open the printing menu. Good luck!

Days of the week combines colourful pages of information (days of week and their order, abbreviations, numbers on calendars) with interactive practice pages (drag and drop and a very clever page where the text changes colour if correct spelling is typed). First used with Entry 1 ESOL – ICT learners but also suitable for E1 literacy and numeracy.

Questions about days and months . Interactive worksheet with drop down menus to select the correct day, no. of days in a month, etc. (Use as a follow on exercise after the Days of the week worksheet (see below).

A very useful sheet (best used on-screen) providing online links to a range of mouse exercises where learners can learn about right and left clicking, double clicking, drag and drop, etc. Activities range form straightforward tutorials to ‘Dress the Eggplant’, Join the Dots and a bubble game. Many also provide very useful practice on reading instructions.
