Crossword

A recently designed resource that I wanted to share with my fellow skillsworkshop users. I wanted something to use with my learners as a spelling lesson. I have tried to involve various activities to help motivate and keep interest whilst learning spellings.

Resource includes a cloze exercise, comprehension questions, homophones and plurals, and a final crossword to check skills.

A lovely way of consolidating Level 2 punctuation work. Could also be used as a group revision exercise if projected onto a smartboard.

Lovely interactive crossword. 8 clues. Would make a good group activity on an interactive whiteboard.

To run, unzip the file (select “Extract all files”) into a new folder and click on punctuationhotpotcrossword to run.

Formal letters crossword includes words commonly used in formal and semi-formal letters.
The great thing about this activity is that it is created from a template (available in the Activity Toolkit, in the Smart Notebook Gallery) and can be quickly and easily edited to specific crosswords for your students.
