(Wil and Lal, second marriage, 3 kids between them), No. 5 (Helen & Adam, big house, one son who’s not allowed any pets) and No. 7 (Mick & Lin, both work as cooks but their jobs are in danger).

Red hot chilli peppers is an interesting piece originally written for catering students but could also be of interest to any lovers of hot food! Includes comprehension and vocabulary questions, use of adjectives and a writing task.
Readwell Road is a magnificent set of reading books for adults. They were first published on Skillsworkshop in February 2010. Since then thousands of site users have downloaded the sample sets of stories from Step 1 (E1), Step 2 (E1-E2) and Step 3 (E2-E3) – see below.
