Read and recognise simple sentence structures:
(i) Recognise common patterns of simple statements to support reading and understanding, e.g. subject-verb-object, subject-verb-prepositional phrase.
(ii) Recognise instructions that start with the verb e.g. Keep left. Press the button.
(iii) Understand how the word order in simple sentences in English can affect meaning. E.g. Suzanna likes Christobel. Is not the same as Christobel likes Suzanna.
