Literacy: Ww/E1.1, Ww/E1.3, Ww/E2.1, Ww/E2.2, Functional English - writing, Writing: sentence focus (punctuation & grammar)

ESOL: ESOL Ww/E1.1a, ESOL Ww/E1.1b, ESOL Ww/E2.1a

Level: E1, E2

Resource type: Worksheet or assignment

Using this resource, learners at E1-2 level learn to recognise vowels and consonants, spell the days of the week and identify these spellings with everyday activities and calendar usage. At E2-3 level learners can use the resource to develop their ideas into sentences that incorporate days of the week. The resource also encourages learners to understand relationships between days of the week – for example, including concepts such as ‘yesterday, today and tomorrow’, ‘every two days’ and ‘the day after tomorrow’ – and thus enables learners to practise their spellings in a cognitively challenging way.
Editor’s note
With E1-2 Functional English mapping but also ideal for ESOL students.
