Five wonderful sets of multiple choice revision questions covering Level 1 ratio, mean & range, fractions, percentages, and number (mostly place value & rounding). Each set consists of 9 cards and is individually mapped to the numeracy curriculum.
Cut up into cards and use as required. Use individual sets for targeted revision or mix with other sets of cards for general revision.

Lovely, rather unusual ratio worksheet. One question involves working backwards from a paint mixing chart to discover what colour paint you will end up with! Although only a single sheet there is a good mix of questions building up from L1 to L2. With answer sheet and Numeracy / Functional maths mapping.
Graduated set of really effective worksheets with step by step worked examples and two sets of questions. Aimed to help L1 students to progress to L2 ratio and proportion skills. With answer sheet and detailed adult numeracy / Functional maths mapping information.
Lovely hands-on set of resources ideal for introducing ratio and proportion. Investigate the taste and appearance of different strength orange squash drinks and record your results.
Two investigations – one aimed at L1, one at L2. With additional substantial 4 page worksheets for consolidation / homework.

Cocktail and smoothie ratios is a wonderful way to introduce ratio and proportion (also covers converting measures). Choose your favourites from the ‘menu’, work out ratios for the ingredients and calculate amounts required for multiples such as 6, 10 and 20 drinks, make up your own cocktail.
Adapted from Jodie Travis’s original version (see below). This adapted version includes a wider range of non-alcoholic cocktails / smoothies for students that do not drink alcohol.
Also ideal for underpinning L1-2 Functional Maths.
Planning a barbecue is just in time for the end of the BBQ season and is a great way to introduce the idea of scaling down (or up). Some of your guests are unable to come. How can you adjust the food quantities to avoid wastage? Designed to facilitate discussion about ratios and fractions.
The problem solving nature also makes this very suitable for L1 Functional Maths.
L1-2 Ratio and proportion is great introduction to ratio and proportion problems with lots of examples followed by a quiz (ideal for interactive whiteboard use) for up to 3 players.
