Submitted by John Callaghan on Tue, 2017-08-29 16:15

Functional Skills English Level 2 module information, video introduction and test papers, including level 2 English fact sheets, activity sheets and answer sheets.

Editor’s Note
Good clear example exam papers. I particularly like the sample answers for the writing assessment. There is a question – and a sample answer – for a speech. Very useful as speeches have only appeared in Functional English (L2 only) paper over the past year or so.

Functional Skills Maths Level 1

Submitted by John Callaghan on Tue, 2017-08-29 15:11

Functional Skills Maths Level 1 module information, video introduction and test papers, including level 1 Maths fact sheets, activity sheets and answer sheets.

Functional Skills text books are a rare commodity and this pair of Level 2 Functional English books fills a well-needed gap. They’ve been written with the Edexcel on-screen reading and writing assessments in mind, but are ideal for learners taking paper-based or online Functional Skills assessments from any awarding body.

The books are cleverly designed so that each page in the revision guide matches to the same numbered page in the workbook.

This is a marvellous and very practical site full of accessible adult resources that are ideal for teaching maths AND English.

Many resources are also great for functional / embedded learning. For example A strawberry window garden would make a great text for Entry and L1 horticulture students.
