Health related role play and conversation

Submitted by Adele Harris on Wed, 2016-03-09 00:58

Literacy: Engage in Discussion

ESOL: ESOL Engage in discussion, ESOL Listen and respond, ESOL Reading: word focus (vocabulary, word recognition, phonics)

Context: Health, Social care, Early years, Independent living

Resource type: Listening and/or speaking activity, Worksheet or assignment

Level: E1, E2

I have been covering how to make an appointment with the GP and taking part in a role play with the GP with my ESOL group, so I have prepared these materials.

My courses are not accredited, so I don’t know how this fits into the ESOL SFL criteria and my classes are, inevitably, a mix of Pre-Entry and E1 learners. Hope it might be useful.

Editors note
Ideal for E1-2 ESOL and also some adult literacy learners.

They then use google to search times of trains. The next session looks at the cost of the theatre ticket and finding out the change you would have from a given amount again researching the theatre on the internet.
